HasRoot update and asking for Support.
So I think it is about time I fill everyone in on what has been going on with me and the site.
Where's Rambler?
As many of you may have noticed I have not been particularly active over the last few months. The reason for this is my old pc finally died around new years. It had been on its last legs for awhile which resulted in me shutting down tickets and server additions. Our team and especially Andre have stepped up because of this to help keep HasRoot running without me being active.
What's going on with HasRoot?
Despite everyone stepping up there is a lot only I am able to do and it has impacted the site. Streamer detection and approval, tracking potential new servers and development were all previously handled by me on my dev pc. HasRoot is a hobby project of mine and it simply wasn't designed to work well without me. I had been working on a huge redesign of the backend systems to spread out responsibility for these aspects on the live site but obviously that has been delayed.
Going Forward and asking for Support.
I have been saving up money for a new PC, however RAM and GPUs are incredibly overpriced at the moment. I am getting closer to being able to afford it but I could really use some help. If you would like to contribute towards this goal check out our suport page. I don't monetise or charge for any HasRoot features so those who choose to support us are greatly appreciated.
Thanks and apologies.
Thanks again to Andre and our Helpers/Team who were thrown in at the deepend and stepped up to keep the site running for our users. I would also like to personally apologise for the impact it has had on the quality of HasRoot. The site has been a big part of my life for nearly 9 years and I have always taken pride in trying to make the site the best it can be (within my abilities at least lol).
Sorry for the issues and hopefully things get worked out soon.
